Don’t Call Me Resilient: HIV, resiliency, connection and diversity.
This session aims to empower participants to better identify and evaluate resiliency and occasions to challenge their own processes. The approach will be dynamic and interactive with participants contributing to the session by sharing some of their knowledge, while storytelling will be used by the facilitators to give examples and tie together the elements of the session.
Objectives:
- Recognize the value and the opportunity of growth in lived experience
- Recognize leadership skills such as challenging processes outside and within
- Identify resiliency capacities/ mechanisms within themselves and
- Learn about and connect with the Positive Leadership Development Institute (PLDI)
Audience:
This is a virtual session for people in Ontario working in the fields of mental health; HIV; harm reduction; housing; hospice.
