CATIE’s HIV Treatment course, in partnership with ACCHO and Black CAP

CATIE partnering with ACCHO and Black CAP to deliver a training course on HIV Treatment. The purpose of the course is to support frontline Ontario-based service providers serving African, Caribbean, and Black communities. The course supports service providers in learning about HIV treatment and how to support people to consider starting, staying on or resuming treatment. CATIE’s HIV treatment course aims to develop in-depth knowledge of HIV treatment for frontline service providers working with people who are living with HIV. Throughout this course, participants learn how HIV treatment works in the body, what being on HIV treatment means, and how to support clients through

Shame Resilience and Decolonization Workshop

Description: This interactive 3-hour workshop tackles the topic of decolonization from the lens of an individual, organization and society. This highly interactive workshop will explore ways to engage safely in discussion and share tools for engaging in this topic.  Presenter: Alia Ali, Principal Consultant Empathy Catalyst Consulting Audience: This is an interactive virtual workshop intended for non-clinical workers supporting people living with HIV. This includes: HIV Mental Health workers in ASOs and clinical environments and front line support workers serving HIV positive or at-risk clients.

Program Evaluation Fundamentals

Description: Program Evaluation Fundamentals is a one-day, online training intended to support those that are new to evaluation or those that would like to increase their evaluation best practices. This course includes: When and why to conduct an evaluation Identifying and engaging key stakeholders Constructing your evaluation framework (ex: logic model, theory of change) Selecting appropriate methodology Developing data collection tools (ex: surveys, focus groups etc.) Organizing and Analyzing data Sharing Findings Upon completion, learners will have the tools to create an evaluation framework for their program, understand appropriate data sources to inform their evaluation, and finally collect and analyze
