“Because She Cares” is a spoken word film series that documents the experiences of African women living with HIV employed in Ontario AIDS service and allied organizations (AASOs). Using spoken word performance and film, “Because She Cares” poetically re-tells the working stories of African immigrant women living with HIV who work in AASOs.
