Virtual Launch, Because She Cares (BSC) Spoken Word Films

To commemorate Love Positive Women and Black History Month, the BSC collective will be hosting a virtual launch of the Because She Cares films.

“Because She Cares” is a spoken word film series that documents the experiences of African women living with HIV employed in Ontario AIDS service and allied organizations (AASOs).

Using spoken word performance and film, “Because She Cares” poetically re-tells the working stories of African immigrant women living with HIV who work in AASOs.

The 60-minute film screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the performers, film artists, and African, Caribbean and Black women who work in Ontario AIDS service and allied organizations.
