The purpose of the course is to support frontline service providers to talk to their clients about HIV treatment and support them to consider starting, staying on or resuming treatment. We ask that those attending this course have a basic understanding of HIV. You’re welcome to learn more in advance of HIV Treatment through this HIV Basics self-directed course: HIV Basics Course
This course includes approximately four – five hours of online instruction delivered over four weeks. It includes weekly self-directed modules and collaborative discussion boards facilitated by a CATIE educator, and an interactive online meeting with our educators and fellow students.
Weekly topic breakdown
HIV Treatment includes three online modules that include a variety of learning activities such as e-learning units, readings, discussion board assignments, videos and webinars. You can work through each weekly online module at your own pace. Each module takes up to one hour complete.
An online meeting is held in the fourth week to conclude the course.
