Founded in 1991, the Peel HIV/AIDS Network (PHAN) is committed to serving people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS and to limit the spread of the virus through support, education, advocacy and volunteerism. Peel Region is the second-largest municipality in Ontario with a population of approximately 1.6 million people. Serving the cities of Mississauga and Brampton and the town of Caledon, PHAN provides a variety of programs and services related to HIV prevention, health promotion and support to people who are living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. The role of our Board of Directors (Board) is to provide governance to the organization, identify and monitor strategic priorities, set agency policies and determine innovative ways to promote and enhance HIV/AIDS awareness, services and support in the Region of Peel.
